Removing the gearknob

Hi, just wondering how you would remove the gearknob from a Clio Mk2, because i bought a new one this morning.

best way is to cut it off... however i used a massive set of swan neck pliers and kept turning it till it came lose... hope this helps mate..!

i cut mine off with a hack saw

Hacked mine off aswell but a decent set of pliers will twist it off in the end. Best thing to do would be get the centre painted on the original though tbh, OEM look is better

hard to get them off with out damaging it .. just slice it with a snanley knife, then get some pliers on the plastic part in the middle

take a bite, give it a grind and it should fall off.

Sorry to bump a stupidly old thread, but if you saw it or cut it off, can you put an OEM one back on easily? Just want to replace mine with OEM but no idea what I'm doing!
