Renault dealer - diagnostic (SERV light)

  Honda & VW
Couple of months back we booked my girlfriends 182 in to a Renault garage for it's minor service (they were doing a deal at the time -special price). I spoke to my local Renault specialist who said they couldn't even get close to the price which made me go ahead and book.

They asked my GF to drop it off in the morning 8.30 and it would be ready by lunchtime and would ring her to let her know when she could come to collect. She went off to her sisters which is fairly close by the garage and waited, and waited, and waited.

It got to 4pm and she'd not heard a thing from them so rang to check if the car was ready/finished.
She was told they were just putting the wheels back on so she could come now to collect.

she went and collected it to find they'd added approx 30miles to the mileage, i know they have to take it for a road test but 30 miles????
she queried it with them at the time to be told this couldn't be the case as they'd made a note of the mileage before and after.
As it was a case of our word against theirs i suggested letting it go as it wasn't worth the fuss.

Anyway a day later the Service light came on and has been on every since (was never on before it went into the garage). I have tried playing with the wires underneath the seat etc but no change. Added to this the next day all warning lights came on so she pulled over in a mad panic.

I have spoken with the chap who introduced the Service Deal to me and made him aware of my concerns and annoyances; he kindly offered that they would perform a diagnostic check FOC.

I have booked it in this Friday and am taking it in myself this time.

Any suggestions on what I can look out for. Make comment/reference to while I’m there? it seems odd that the car was 100% before the service and has notbeen ever since.

i mean i know it's a Renault ;)
