Renault Dialogue Software

I was having a look on the forum and thinking this maybe worthwhile to get a hold of. Im fed up being held to ransome by renault when getting my car fixed because I cant run a diagnostic check..

I have seen a copy on ebay for about £4.

A few questions:

1. What is the interface between the computer and the car?
2. Is it relatively easy to use to diagnose problems?
3. What is the best version to get - I understand there are a few.

All help appreciated?

I think what you have seen on eBay is Dialogys, which is the parts database for Renault Cars.

Ah right - is that not the same as the diagnostic software?

Anyone know where I could get a copy of the diagnostic software?

the diagnostic software ie: link to the car is the "clip" and is around £3500 no other system for renault's is any where near , we have a snap on hook up and its pants for renault's cost 2 grand aswell!

I understand now - i thought the software you were all talking about was the clip and it could be loaded on any laptop. I understand now this is the diagnosis stuff.

Is it possible to download i remember trying to ages ago and i found it but gave up or lost the torrent

you can download it from various places... its about 3 years old and doesnt gove you the part numbers for the many improved 172, 182 etc parts they introduced over the years
