Renault have clamping down on selling this as its illegal.

Why? There cheaper than GSF etc often for many parts.

Official parts have a good warently with them. Try take a broken clutch (due to parts being poor copy cat's) back to a supplier and see what luck you get. Then you'll know where the extra money goes.

for what purpose did you want dialogys? bearing in mind half the dialogys cd-roms on ebay arent "official" as the dialogys the dealerships have are mainly (if not only) available only for apple mac's as thats what dealerships still run/ran on.

so do you think renault have their parts specially made just for them ? i agree far eastern no name stuff is pretty crap but if you go to a reputable parts manufacturer , you'll get exactly the same parts, most likely made at the same factory ,and as for warrenty and returns renault are no better than your decent independent supplier . anyways i'm not actually selling this thing i just bought one , it works fine on normal windows pc once its installed and has come in handy on several occasions .

You want to bet? Many parts yes are the same but check the part numbers I know one very famous parts place is selling oil filters (offical Renault ones) for a certain car and they arn't suitable they fit but there danerous to use they will kill the engine.

if they are selling the wrong filter for a car isnt that down to the jockeys selling the parts not knowing what they are doing rather than the parts themselves , or have i misunderstood what you are saying ?

You pay Renault dealers for there experiance and knowedge and the fact the'll sell you the right part for safe running of your engine. Psay a cheaper place and they often sell you inferer parts or Renault parts but they just don't check them.

What the point saving £3 for example on oil filters (renault are about £7 vs £4 for other places) if the parts wrong for your engine.

you get experienced and knowledgeable people at independents as well you know , you also get total incompetents at main dealers as well , find someone you can trust and know what they are doing and your sorted , where i get my cars serviced are all ex renault mechanics, all renault diagnostic kit , and nowhere near renault workshop prices , admitedly they get their consumable bits like filters etc from renault (not oil though), but unlike renault they dont overcharge for other stuff , everyone to their own as far as where you get parts and have your car fixed .
