Renault F1 bonnet sticker

Car  Renault Clio MK2 1.2
Should I? Shouldn't I?

I have a nice big dent on the front of my bonnet....do you think the sticker will just bring attention to that instead?

I wouldn't stick an F1 sticker on a 1.2 mate personally, but each to their own.

If it was the R27 or something then maybe!

It will draw attention to the dent mate

People will say "oh look, it has an f1 sticker" "oh dear, look at that large dent that's under it" and then "oh dear, it's not actually a sport of any kind"

IMO of course

Can't you just try and poke the dent back out or is the metal too thick?
there's not really any good or easy way to get to where the dent is, with the bonnet being double skinned or whatever you call it

LOL at that price. I assume they wanted to replace the bonnet?
Replace the car probably!

Definitely look at a few other PDR places, I had one quote me for a dent on the right edge of the bonnet on my MK3 Clio think it was around £60? Was about the size of a car key. (body not blade!)

that's what im saving for, a new car....the 1.2l isnt doing it for me any more ;)

I went round to a few dent repair people and pdr places in person and they all came back with quotes of over 200 so just gonna leave it and if a bonnet in the same colour pops up then dibs mine  was given a price of 120 delivered a couple of months ago on ebay but i didnt have the money at the time (thought insurance was more important ), phoned them yesterday but it's gone :( stupid bloody colour! NV901 i mean who buys a car with that paint code?! (my grandma -_- ) :tired:

I was in the same boat bud, had a 1.2 and saved, now have a 1.6 astra sporthatch :) faster and better takes time but everyone gets there, one day I'll have a astra VXR or a Clio sport ;)

You'd be able to pull most of the dent out with a toilet / sink plunger... The big rounded bowl shape ones they sell in DIY stores... Won't be perfect but it'll cost you about a fiver and hardly notice once you've done it, imho ...

have tried that and got some out that went up the bonnet more, and have tried the glass panel sucker things too but they cant get a good enough grip to pull it as hard as i need to to get it out :/

Find the paint code for your Clio & call some breakers.. You'd be looking at about £40-£60 tops for a decent colour matched bonnet. Try to get one from a car of the same year because of the effects of oxidation over time. You might still notice a slight difference depending on where the donor car has spent most of its life.. i.e. coastal, town, garaged or on the road. But certainly worth a shot imho...

been there done that :pensive: they either a) didnt have any clios or b) their bonnets have gone....might start trying to find one from further away as my previous search was only within a 5 mile radius lol

Rub spit on them, helps the seal
just went to 9 different shops, yes 9 DIFFERENT SHOPS to find a new sodding plunger....tesco, morrisons, asda, sainsburys, local hardware shops, ended up in homebase to finally get one!!! :rage:
so ive rubbed spit on it, water, everything i can think of.....no results. I think it's too far gone for a plunger lol, when I do eventually get a good seal i just pull it straight off without moving the metal at all. Sucks!😢
