Does anybody know if you can do any mods to your car under the free insurence deal on the Clio 1.2 Dynamique.

I think some people have put aftermarket alloys on.. but you have to inform them.

Does anybody know if you can fit an induction kit and things like that.

accordin to reno insurance you cannot fit any performance enhancing mods,

though they also thought that lowering my car would increase the bhp

Modifications are acceptable up to the value of £1000 - on condition that the parts were supplied and fitted by Renault, that no performance enhancements are made, and that the excess goes up by £100 for mods up to £250 and raised by £150 for mods between £250 and £1000

Thats sh*te. I was thinking of lowering my car as well. It looks far to high with the 16s.

I take it bigger brake discs gives about 10BHP then.

they also charge you a £40 admin fee every time they change/alter the details on your policy!

I lowered mine and fitted 17s and they were ok with that. REMEMBER, the excess on the policy if fooking high as it is, if you crash it could cost you a fortune!

I lowered mine and Renault Insurance wanted another £230 (thats an increase of about 35%!). They also said it increased performance? Needless to say I didnt renew with them this year.
