id try viring insurance as they are under written by the same company that underwrites for renault insuarnace ( uk insurance). And virgin dont charge interest on the monthly payments. I used Renault insurance when i had a 1.2 clio and never had any problems and when someone ran in to me it was all delt with easily.
I had my first years insurance with them free with ym car and when I crashed they were good.No paperwork to fill in just a few minutes explaining what happened when i called up. Not sure how they would be with a courtesy car as it took some time before I needed one and they were in a ponderly what to do ith my car so they might not have been happy to give me a car if mine was being written off.
But they were very uncompetive the next year they wanted £1.8k or something I paid £880 in the end with another company.
