renault laguna warrenty

Hello was seeking a bit of warrenty help for my mate who has just bought a brand new ren laguna. His engine just expired and renault turned him away because he got the car from car craft. I gather its an import the same as a clio, so will the 1yr manufactures/2yr dealer warrenty stand? so should he go back to ren and play hell? i hope so cos they are a bunch of t**sers

If its an EU import and its still under warrenty, they have no choice but to fix it.

Cheers mate i thought that would be the case, the cars brand new and ren told him to take it back to car craft as they would have to fix it nothing to do with them since he bought it from car craft! cheeky eh

The warrenty is with Renault not car craft, if the car as sourced from within the EU your pals Laguna has a 3 year warrenty on it, 2 years Renault 1 year dealer.

All other products or services supplied by agreement between you and your dealer are not included. Your new Renault is covered by a 3-year warranty package - the first 2 years of unlimited mileage Renault manufacturer warranty followed by a further year of dealer cover up to 60,000 miles. This requires full servicing history according to Renault UK approved standards.
