Renault R&D!!

Does anyone recon that any of the R&D bods at Renault have been on this site to find out what wed want in a new clio?

I could just imagine RUK using Cliosport as a focus group.....

And on that note, just incase big brither is watching, Id like 220 Hp, six gears, bucket seats, an exhaust note and no rattles in the new Clio thanks. Oh, and it has to be well specced and under 10 grand. Ta.

No turbo. Edde, its a bit expensive as a one off. Any mates want to help you out and buy a thousand to bring the price down ?

Id be happy with a car that dynamically is far superior to anything else in its class. Id like a superb looking, rapid little car that is faster, better specced, and better handling than anything else available for similar money. Id also like it to keep up with cars costing 2 times more at the traffic light grand prix, and beat cars costing 3 times more on a track.

I have never understood the comments avout exhaust notes. The 182 has a great rasping noise inside the cabin. Anything more would be overkill for me. Now an ENGINE note would be a different request, but then the V6 fills that slot nicely?

Look at Skoda even with the Fabia which doesnt havas good a chassic setup as the Clio will have they still shifted 1.5k of them in the first 10 months selling them over here plus there were a load of imports.

If I make a load of fake names up of people who want one will that help convince Renault to build one? Please preaty please?
