Renault Runaround!

  Clio 197

Ive been trying to get information from Renault on Renaultsport parts for a couple months now to no avail. This is getting crazy! My local dealer hasnt a clue and the car is going in for a timing belt and a few other bits on Thursday.

Has anyone any information? Why is this stuff top secret? The Renaultsport website is useless...they show a Grp N Clio but try to find a price for it!

I should have kept my Evo VI. At least Ralliart are interested in selling the proper bits and pieces!

Dear Mr Griffiths

Thank you for your recent email regarding Clio Cup accessories.

I can advise you that certain accessories were planned for release for the Renault Clio Cup, upon which external testing is currently taking place. Once this is complete these accessories, if suitable for road use will be released.

I hope this information is of assistance to you and if you have any further enquiries please do not hesitate to contact Renault Customer Services on 0800 072 33 72.

Regards

Anna Hurley

Mikey,

Ive no problem with the drop in performance, as the petrol bills are much lower. Also I couldnt afford to risk rolling the Evo into a ball!

It doesnt matter what, within reason, you are driving if you are getting the most out of it! The Clio just gets the job done for less!

Well,

Just to let you know what my progress has been today:

I emailed the guys in Dieppe or wherever again and got no reply.

I emailed the guy in the UK who originally told me to email the guys in France. He replied that I should email the guys in France and gave me a telephone number...

Now I really dont feel like ringing Renaultsport in France without a working knowledge of French. As it is, I have to draw pictures or show the guy the parts on the computer screen when I go to my dealer here!

It sucks being illiterate!

Take a look at the Ralliart sites and then have a look at Renaultsport.

Renaultsport are really good until you try to find out prices or how to get in contact! Do they really want to sell stuff other than F1 souvenirs?
