Renault service & Willie v Golf GTi

Got the Willie back today and the guys & gal at Renault were great - they had my car for 8 days checking the electrics and charged me NOTHING! I payed for a new starter 3 weeks ago and they felt this was the same job. They had the RTE on it during his spare time. He found 6 possible causes of the non-starting. Cant say the probs been found for sure so well see:D

Well I never really get in any races but today I managed 2 LOL. Forstly my 2 rear tyres are shot - both at 1.6mm!! so new one on next week hopefully!

Well first was a mere 90bhp Golf MK4 Tdi driven by my boss (a lunatic in a car). Never have I seen a car unable to corner - wallow - it was all over the place with the Willie about 70% of its cornering capabilities the golf was everywhere. We were on very twistie back roads coming back from a game of golf.

Anyway tonight I had another mk4 golf attached to my rear while out getting a Magazine. I let him get along side on the dual carrageway then put the foot down LOL The Willie was far far faster but the main event was the round-a-bout where his Golf did corner much faster or better than the Tdi. It was less wallowy but he was nowhere near as controlled a the willie. He used 2 lanes. When we came to a stop a tescos we checked out the guys car. It was a Gti with a Red I, he had big alloys and a twin scorpian exhaust - I reckon it must be the Slow version Gti as I had my mate and 2 sets of golf clubs in the Willie and he had himself.

Not very exciting I know but its good to stuff these pillocks that tailgate you looking to show you up:devilish: Good to have the Williams back - fingers crossed the porb is now sorted!

was it deff a gti as most cars with the red i are the special versions of the diesel engine?? audi do a red i (tdi) with 115bhp

  BMW X5, Exige 260.

hehehe I had some tosspot in a Golf gti deliberately box me into a lane in traffic last night in very heavy traffic in town. Never got the chance to trash him back as when the traffic cleared we immediatley took different forks though I saw he accelerated off at full chat.....i should have diverted and showed him Cup power......

Yeah it was parked outside tescos front door so we had a good look. It was defo a Gti with a red I. Seemed lower than a normal one with bigger wheels. The wheels were VW but not normal Gti ones. He seemed a bit of a poser. Had a Burberry cap LOL.

My bosses mate usually takes his MK2 16V Turbo Gti to the Golfing so I was a bit disapoined to see the Tdi today. The last time I went up against the Turbo Gti I had my tuned Fiesta Turbo and beat it - he was very upset as he has spent more that 10k on it - I bought the Fiesta for 3k:) To be honest his golf is a cracker and is a great all-rounder - I dont think the Willie will take it but you never know! He does hill climb stuff in it and it has a leda suspension etc. I am sure ill get a shot at it soon

You can leave the Golf and Audi diesels for dead in the twisties, as they quite heavy cars, but it is a bit different on the open road. The poor Willy just sits there on the rev limiter and they glide by. It happened to me too many times...

someone i know has got a top spec audi a4 tdi with red i engine and i was surprised how quick it was. off the mark there slow but give em some space and ther no slouches. :)
