Renault specialists in south east area?

  MG ZR x2, Polo, CTR
ren-tech in Hampshire,
Two Techs in Dartford
Engine Dynamics in Essex

can't think of any others local, but I'm sure there are 1 or 2 more

  Many.
Anything you're specifically wanting?

I work for Engine Dynamics, so I'll probbably seem bias lol.

well just a local version of, for example, ktec or alike. something that have a better knowledge/understanding for the RS renaults really.
so if i wanted to get a bit of work done in my car, like a remap or something that was specific for the clio's then i would know where to go to get said work done.

Question is would you rather drive 30 miles for a 3* specialist or 60 miles for a 5* one?

It all depends what work you want doing, how much it's likely to cost, and what the implications are if it goes wrong. Some stuff I'd consider a more local option, other things are top specialist only.

+1 for TwoTechs, seriously nice guys and know what they're up to.

There's also Ren7Oaks (in Sevenoaks surprisingly), they're ok but nowhere near as nice guys as TwoTechs in Dartford.

Terry and Matt at Two Techs. Top top guys , very knowledgeable and will happily talk to you about anything you need to know. I've lost count of the amount of things they have talked me out of doing as not needed so not just after the money and rate their work highly !

Garage advice!

I'm from near Tunbridge Wells and getting some crazy dangerous steering feel from my 200. Clonking and a dead point in steering in mid speed swooping corners where it'll dart all over the place and picks up on any imperfections on the road! Also a high pitched 'dry' sounding screech from column area on very slow speed and parking.

Now, I have discussed this with dealer and warranty company and need that properly diagnosed. Ie a detailed diagnostics report from a garage. I cover those costs, get them reimbursed by the warranty company. Then the car will be back in to have the work done, costs sorted by warranty company and dealer.

Understandably, I want it with someone who can identify these issues confidently so who can you recommend? I don't really want to drive the car far because it feels really dangerous!!

Happy to discuss the noise and feel of steering in detail via pm or phone if anyone wants to get in touch with a rough idea of what's gone wrong

Thanks

Another one for two techs for jobs such as cambelts, servicing and general work on your car they are very knowledgeable.

They dont do remaps though

@hsustyle have a look at the garages recommended in this thread mate, they'd be best for as they're specialist! I now get my work done by an ex Renault mechanic who did a lot of sport models, did my cam belt and dephaser and all ascociated bits and pieces for around £100 quid cheaper than the quotes I got from the specialist garages!
