renault techs - DCi 106 turbo lag when cold

any of the guys who work for renault might have some sort of experiance on this, not to fussed about it as its only 6 months old so will be a warranty job when it goes in for a service next month but just trying to get to the bottom of it.

car never done this until it was 3 months/5k miles old. gets really bad when the outside temperature is low (say 5c or less) not so bad above this but still present, does it for the first say 3-5 minutes driving.

pull out a junction in first gear, you have full power, change to 2nd gear, say the car is at 2200rpm give it full throttle and slowly climbs up the revs for maby 3-5 seconds and by this time nearly 3000rpm, suddenly a surge of boost as normal, change gear and same again!

it can be quite dangerous when pulling out a junction in the morning, but as soon as a few minutes pass everything returns to normal, boost from 1300rpm and full boost by 2,000rpm

any ideas?

The Laguna II DCi's suffer with a similar problem which is normally to do with the boost pressure switch... hard to say without seeing the live data though. Could even be a boost leak or and actuator problem
