My car at renault again as car cuts out in coldish weather. Now they dont seem to be able to find a fault and worreid they going to say we think its this (which puts me in a bit of a corner as i have no choice but to replace it, this happened last time with the upstream lambda sensor.) I'm a bit stuck and dont know where i stand as cant afford to replace parts which might not even be causing the fault. Anyone been in the same situation.

I drive normally then the car becomes extremely lumpy and very hard to drive smooth, to which it cuts out when i let the revs drop. Starts up fine but if i dont rev the engine the revs go up and down them selves and then cuts again. This will keep happening through out the journey. However only happens when its 14 degrees outside or below. If its 20 degrees or so it never does it!

I think it the map sensor aswell. but ye no light comes up which is annoying. Thing is if there are no faults on diagnostic machine they wont do anytbing and i'll have a car which keeps cutting out.

Coolant temp sensor or MAP sensor... if you've already changed the oxy sensors.

Find someone on here that's local to you, then swap them over to see if it cures it, it'll cost you nothing.

If i was nearer, i'd do it for you.

It should show up on Dialogys at Renault then.

It's not as easy to change and an engine bay sensor though, and it's normally seized in, due to the heat. :(
