They always do it, get quotes from Bell direct and Elephant, same parent company but you can play them against each other.
It's how they try to make there money, give you a good quote for the first year, bump it up after that hoping your too lazy to shop around, lots of people never bother checking if they can get it cheaper elsewhere.

try a new quotew with them, not a renewal, my renewal with N/U was £1700, i payed £1800 first year!

but went on the site and did a new quote and was £1050ish inl. monthly payments, just because the renewal is high doesnt mean a new quote wont be competitive, but like said they expect people just to renew without shopping around.

if they were good for the first year dont rule them out straight away.

On these bonus accelerators, you only have cover for 10 months don't you and get 1 years no claims at the end of it. So after the 10 months do you have to renew with the company you are with to gain the 1 years no claims or can you go to a different company even though you have only really done 10 months with Admiral?

Won't Admiral say well the 10 month - 1 year no claims bonus offer is only if you renew with us?

I work for AA car insurance, and we don't accept no claims bonus from accelerator policies, we only accept it if they have completed a full 12 months with their previous insurer. Most other companies are the same too.

^ funny that ... considering they only ask for proof of ncd and the proof clearly states " 3 NCD " for example thats doubtful.
and most companies are not the same. theyr all accepted except from DL's named persons ncd for example.
