After nigh on six days of repairing, upgrading, cleaning and polishing, the silver bullet is nearly back to full fitness.

I think this is all:

Full oil and filter change,
Fitment of phase 1 172 air box with CAF's,
Fitment of dogbone mount and adjustment of other mounts,
Fitment of braided hoses,
Drainage of brake fluid and refill with Mintex DOT4,
Clean up of rear discs and pads,
Fitment of new front discs and Mintex Xtrmene pads,
Rebuilt NSF caliper due to seized guide,
Painted the calipers,
Remove, refit and adjust Janspeed sports cat' with new seal kit,
Remove, refit and adjust exhaust,
Repair rear exhaust mount,
Modify and strengthen mid mount,
Fitment of new gear stick unit complete with phase 1 172 gear knob.

It wasn't fun.

Being dead picky, i'd replace the rear number plate. Seems to stick out a bit.
On the list mate. It is held in place by a frame which is rivetted in place which the plate the slides into. I'm not sure where this came from but it rattles like buggery.

looking luuuush mate, clayed didnt make a lot of difference to mine, but looks like a bloody good shine on yours!!

what is the bumper cut out lined with??

Looks quality mate, job well done :D ignore Phil, he sleeps with cattle :)
Constructive criticism is always welcome, bovine love is best kept to ones self however.

It's just cut in mate with no surround. I did once contemplate an MG type rivetted surround, then I came to my senses.

The gloss may be down to the work with the rotary. Still plenty to do though.

A quick video for your viewing pleasure. Taken as I drove down a friends driveway;)

The front plate is a 3/4 item, can be ordered from fancyplates.com for around £16.00 IIRC.

love it mate, is the spoiler a trophy one?
It certainly is mate, or a V6 item depending on your inclination. Hence the Silver 1.2 Trophy bit just to throw people off of the scent.

Are you kidding? It shouldn't take that long mate. You must be doing something wrong there.
I don't think the car has ever been clayed before. It wouldn't take anywhere near as long next time around. There appeared to be metal filings on the tailgate which had then oxidised. They took alot of hard work to remove.
