Replacement after writting car off

About a month ago i wrote the clio off which was an 08 plate Campus Sport i-music in extreme blue. With air con

The insurance company still havnt paid out as they say they are going to replace it like for like as it was less than a year old. Thing is i went to renault dealer and they dont make them any more so would have to be a case of them looking for pre registered ones at dealers. The guy looked on the computer of all the renault dealers and the only i-music's left in the whole country are in Silver. But we dont want a silver one and the extreme blue paint cost more money when car was new. Are we allowed to say that want the money instead of a replacement?

Worth asking, although if they do offer cash expect it to be low.

cheers but if they replaceing it it has to be an i-music, kinda want air con really as well. Nightmare when its raining gets all steemed up without air con i find lol. (yeah were fussy lol) Want the extra tints and tune point in glove box and the better interior that came with the i-music as well.


it doesnt matter to us how much norwich union pay out really because we paid for IPP with the car so Inchape pay the difference so will get £9K in total what ever norwich union offer.

So kinda hoping for the cash cause with 9K will be able to get a new Dynamique S 1.2TCE (depending on what insurance costs now after smash) lol

sorry i no this might be a bit of topic.... but a little while ago there was a blue i-music on a 08 plate in my local scrap yard, and i got the tunepoint glove box and put it in mine. From wot i can remember it was front end damage (cant remember tho). I was just wondering if it might have been yours.

I think they might give you the money, however like said above i would except it to be alot lower than wot you paid for it!

Ours had no front end damage at all. Apart from small dent on bonet where it rolled. Was mainly on the passenger side and the roof on drivers side.
