Replacing a Fog lamp on a 172 mk2

Probably a bumper off job...

They will bolt on from the rear, to a bracket at a guess going off other cars!

the plastic cover surrounding the fog light pops out without taking the bumper off, I know this because after getting some spray work done at renault it came back with the bit half hanging off, I had to push the plastic surround till it clicked, so I guess you should be able to pop em off somehow.

no need to take the plastic surround off....it does unscrew from inside the bumper tho.

Take the inner wing mud guard off covering the inside of the bumper...easier if you take the wheel off tho!!...only 3 screws and 2 plastic push pins.

all will be revealed!!!! 2 star screws and out it pops.....the hardest thing is shelling the £70 for a new one!!!

Stones...plural!!!!

Council redressed 3miles of road during the hot summer and since Xmas the surface has delaminated and thrown itself at my car. Trouble is the wife drives it every day to work.

Complained to them and the next day they swept it and then every 3/4 days since. They also put up speed restrictions and "temporary road surface" signs. Bumpers covered in big chips and also cracked my carbon number plate and chipped the screen.

Got a claim form from them but not holding my breath but claiming £300 for the repairs!!!

This was the day I reported it....its now got 2 ruts going each way where there is no dressing!!!!! size of those chippings..

held in from the rear by two 30 torx screws.remove the front part of the wheel arch liner to gain access.

Chris172 - I think you managed to damage your alot worse than mine, my one was only cracked but I couldnt bear having to look at it every time it got a wash!

Managed to get new one for 49.12 - got it slightly cheaper through my work discount.
