Replacing Gearbox - anything to watch out for?

Having knackering a gearbox I have managed to get a replacement which Im gonna be fitting this weekend. Is there anything I should look out for which can potentially cause me problems...????

Should I replace anything else while the box is off??

take the whole engine and box out, much easier

Change the clutch as well.
If your taking the engine out have the cam and aux belt changed as well.
If your taking the engine out I'd drop the engine and lift the car over it rarther then try and get it out upwards.

its MUCH easier to take it out of the top edde, trust me, i've done it several times LOL!!

ive done it several times and fred is right through the top , take off the aux belt assembly and pumps for clearence
