Replacing lost keys

Afternoon CS.

So, it would appear that during gthe recent house move I've gone and lost the spare key for the Clio.

How much is Renault going to rape me for a replacement,
Can another company do one for less and
If I was to try to part-ex the car without a spare key, is it going to be a huge problem?

Not about £150 from Renault for a key last I heard. Number of keys hasn't been an issue for me, but some dealers could use it as a part of their ploy.

£150 isn't as bad as I expected it to be, at least I have a ballpark figure to work with now.

Anyone work in a dealers who can sort it on the cheap?

Do what I do... Gamble that £150.... ie only one key

afaik it's £150 but they will want your car overnight. That's what I was told by my local stealer a while ago anyway. I never went through with it though.

Timpsons did me one for about £50 (iirc) and programmed it to my car, although it's normally quite abit cheaper for the non-remote ones.

WEll I need the replacement to hook into the remote locking & alarm (sigma).

The dealers I got it from managed it fine but not without plenty pissing about.

I wouldn't take the car away without 2 keys, so they did it for nothing.

but because they ordered the wrong actual key first time around it took about 4 weeks all in

You got the key for free? Was that because of the pissing about?

How much should it have been though?
