Replacing the thermostat

I know where it is just to remove it I disconnect the pipes either side and unbolt has anyone got a good method to bung the piles up with? Or should I just drain the whole coolant system. If so how do I go about that? And how do I bleed the system

Cheers

I'd just change the whole coolent system for the hastle.

To beel it one option is just to unplug the bottom rad hose and let it pour out.

Then to bleed fill the system up bleed it with the bleed nipple, then run the engine with the cabin heat on.

Yep you will need to bleed the cooling system after the repair or you could blow the headgasket or overheat the engine.
