replicating stuff on a new build

Just built a new PC and about to re-build the software on it back to up the way my old PC was…

Just wondering how I go about replicating all my itunes and ipod stuff… Mainly all my playlists within itunes off of my old PC… Can you export the tunes in these playlists into one file kinda like when you export all of your internet explorer favourites then reimport onto the new build?

What about my ipod? Wouldn’t it think my new PC is "not the right PC" and just not work.. Argh.. Bloody apple

wtf, you are actually buying them all again?

surely you can just setup itunes again and then import the songs off your hdd? Then resync? Thats what i did.

if you are moving to a vista machine you can use the windows easy tranfer tool, supposed to be pretty good.

hehe naa DK.. i was giving a dickish answer to a dickish suggestion.. course not..

Well, yeh i can set up itunes and import all tunes thats not the problem.. but what about the playlists?.. i have about 20 playlists all sorted manually by me.. i dont want to have to remake all those lists again and then remember which songs i had where... i COULD write with a pen and paper what was in each playlist but that would take time!!! - if you catch my drift mate

if you copy the entire itunes folder, it will also copy the playlists.
