Request: Catcams 428 rolling road data

  221bhp/ton Mondial Terror
Im quite possibly thinking of going down the cams route with my 172 cup. Deffo thinking of having catcam 428's to finish the spec of my engine (plus can be mapped on the standard ecu). Was hoping some of you who have fitted these can post up your rolling road results so i can compare it against my car in its current spec (i know all rolling roads are different but worth a go) Even better if you have a before and after cams power graph.

Cheers

Dan

Generaly speaking a healthy F4R 736/738 will make around 190bhp on 428's with some form of standard inlet manifold on there.

To give you an idea, before inlets and cams, my cup produced 188hp @ the Surrey Rolling Road Day. After fitting AWT inlets and 428s I produced 203hp

lol, not slating your figures johnc172, id be very pleased with them but 203 bhp is just not achieveable with that spec list. you'd be happy with that figure from ITB's and cams let alone, std inlets!

just to put it into perspective, my ITB'd clio on std cams only made 198!

but thats rolling roads for you, massivly inaccurate across the country!

alot of that depends what other mods he had to get to 180 plus (remap, filter cat back system etc)

pmsl, very generous rolling road there. how did the car compare to a standard one at the rr day? what was the wheel hp?

for the OP - with remap i gained 8bhp and 10lb/ft, adding cams, decat and matched inlets to that saw a further 12bhp (cant remember torque figure tbh). so in total i gained 20bhp from the lot but that does not tell the story of the gains across the whole rev range....

Ever had it done again dude?

On a side note, What is the difference between the different profiles and brands? I.e 421s, 422s, 428s, schricks, colombo and bariani? is it a major difference in torque or bhp in any of them or is it more of a case of when the peak occurs?

Not since the last time, before inlets and cams, I had it done quite a few times all mid 180s, figures will never impress people on here though lol!

You could have a genuine 350hp clio and someone would still complain
