Resealing the rocker gasket

If its leaking from one of the bolt holes or near it Fred always says just take it out, put some silicone gasket on and put it back in, then torque it up (12nm)...

if its a large leak you probably haven't got much chance and the whole cover would have to come off, which means you need timing tools and to re-set the cambelt etc

Ah mine is worse than that!!

Should i take it back to where i had my cam belt done?

Could they have not resealed it properly :(

Cheers

they are unlikely to have touched it, you dont have to remove it when you do the cambelt. I will always contact a customer if theirs is leaking, when i do a cambelt, as it's just an extra 1 hour to sort it

Hmm seem a bigger job than thought!!

Been quoted two hours labour for it sorting :( Probably should get a specialist in to do the work!
