reseting an air bag computer

A few conflicting opinions here, some say you can reset it, others say you need a new one (£200+).

whats the deal?
I have a passanger seat airbag thats been deployed.

No, you don't. I've got renault docs that say the comp is good for 4 detonations before it needs to be replaced and that it can be reset, which seems strange when renault want you to cough up for new stuff.
