restoring cracked leather

the front seats are cracked quite badly around the bolsters, is there anything i can do short of a retrim? does leather dye work?

you could try Auto Glym leather care cream

or.......Meguiars Gold Class Leather Cleaner & Conditioner....or the Aloe products

Doesnt that only clean the leather though?

Ive not long a 19 16v with black leather - the fronts are quite badly cracked in that too. What ive done is bought some black car polish and rubbed it in.

You can still see where the cracks are, but it looks a damn sight better than white cracks everywhere - well until i can find another interior or afford a retrim anyway!!

How much is a leather re-trim likely to set me back nowadays anyway? Suppose material is the biggest cost?
