Hello.
Had to fit new rear brake discs and bearings on Sunday without the spacers. Whoever did them last time didn't fit any. I didn't realise they weren't present until I'd beaten the old discs/bearings off the stub axle, and the car was then stuck.
The car has done about 35 miles since then, what are the chances of the new discs coming off again without shagging the bearings? so I can fit the spacers.
The old ones were a total pig, took a hub puller to remove the disc, and a lump hammer, massive screw driver and an hour of blood and sweat to remove the inner bearing shell that was left behind.
If they're likely to come off intact, I'll fit some spacers, if it's going to involve ruining a set of bearings, I'll wait until they prematurely die due to lack of spacer.
Thoughts?
