Rev Counter Prob! Help!

Ive got a prob with my rev counter! sometimes it works ok, but for most the time it doesnt work at all! I had a new temperature switch fitted last week as that wasnt working either but I forgot to mention the rev counter! Any ideas what the problem could be?

Ive got a J reg MK 1 Ph1 Clio from 91-21.

What engine is it? When it does work ok, does it still move freely?

Sorry its a 1.4 RT, yeah when it does work its fine but it very rarely does! :0(

My rev counter has the same problem.

Most of the time it doesnt work. Then suddenly starts working randomly.

Loose connection?

Thought it could be that but wanted to know how to go about fixing it if it so?

Or if not what else could it be?

No idea dude!

It doesnt really bother me...but i spose it always good knowing what revs you got going on! ;o)

True its definately not an essential but if its simple to fix then i'll get it sorted - just need to get to the root of the prob. first!

It will be a faulty dial, needs replacing, common problem.

Alrite Patty long time no speak!

Not sure what im after! Basically my rev counter isnt workin although it does now and again! Im after what ever I need to fix it!
