Rev Counters...

I am currently looking for a 1.2 or 1.4 mk1. I was just wondering, as the 1.2's dont have rev counters, if you could buy a set of valver counters and hook them up so that you can have a rev counter on a 1.2?

Also is this easy to do?

If it's a Mk1 Phase3 it's possible, but a lot of hassle - I did it on my old one.

Mk1 Phase1/2 it's slightly easier I think.

I am pretty sure it would work as i recently stripped a Valver and the clocks were pretty much the same on the back as the 1.2 - The only hassle is taking the top of the dashboard off!

I have a M2 Ph1 and it's a 1.2 - i didnt have a rev counter so i bought a set of clocks with a rev counter on and it worked no problems, just plugged straight in! again, the only dodgey bit is taking the topof the dashboard off.
