Rev Limiter

Hello,

Is there anyway to change the limits on your rev range? In my 1.6 Clio it limits very low (in comparison to other gears) is there any way this can be altered?

remap. I want my rev limiter up'd slightly in my 1.6. Its just annoying that it doesnt quoite reach 60 in 2nd.

So have you had a remap? Has it made any difference? It is annoying that the limiter kicks in so early in 1st, because the engine still feels like it has plenty to give.

what rpm does it kick in???

mine is the same in every gear 6500

not had it done. when mines fully warmed up it kicks in at about 5900rpm in 1st and 6100 in the rest of the gears. if its not quite warm it seems to kick in at 5800.

I am not sure when it kicks in around 5000 rpm. However 2nd Gear hits more like 7000 rpm which is a big difference, and a pain in the arse when I pull away because you need to change up sooner than you feel you should, especially as the car is pulling loads then the limit kicks in and you change up and it feels to early specially as you initially hit second. Is there any way to alter this? Is it possible to make your car rev higher?
