REVAMP WHEELS-ORPINGTON

Just wondering if anyone had had their wheels repaired here ? My girlfriend has kerbed and buckled one of my wheels, the buckle is only very slight but the kerbing is pretty rough. I know they re-shape the wheels by hand, is this method ok or should I find somewhere that can do it by machine ? Just thought Id see if anyone had any experiences using this company, good or bad ?

I just tried to call them 10 mins ago, I was told that they are the best in the area. Its just a guy working out of a garage... He does all of the wheels for all of the big dealers round this way!

Only £25 a wheel for referb Im told...

Ok, will phone the guy and book mine in I think, Nickyb, just out of curiosity, who told you they were the best in the area, is it someone that has used this guy ? There is also a place in Dartford called Rimtech which I was considering but hell have the wheel for up to eight days which is a bit long !! May sound like a stupid question, I have 17s but my spare is only a 15, can I use it, will the different tyre sizes give me the same rolling radius ? Sorry for sounding thick but Im not sure.

Hold the 15 up next to the 17 and see. It will pull to one side due to the width difference and I wouldnt advise driving like it, but you can if you really need to...

Ok cheers, just spoke to the guy, said if I take it in early its possible it could be done for the next day which wouldnt be too bad, still a little unsure about him hammering the buckle out of the wheel but Ill have to trust him ! Day off tomorrow for me I think !!

Sorry mate not me, am actually thinking of buying a second hand set myself, thinking about it makes sense, one refurb, kerb marks and buckle will cost me say 50-60 and I need four new tyres, say 300-400 quid, thats 450 to buy some second hand, flog mine and I should be quids in......mmmm... dont know what to do now, might put a post up in wanted !!

I know someone who has 8 15" Renault 19 16v wheels with center caps and tyres for sale. Dont know how good they are... Assuming they are in good condition would you be interested in four, think they might be cheap as he doesnt need them...

mmmm would rather some after market wheels to be honest mate but you have tempted me, would get my performance and handling back, think I will try to get some 16s now though thanks anyway, have to hurry up though as my front two tyres are illegal !!! Bloke is friendly, result being so quick too, does he bake the wheels though [I forgot to ask !] how does the paint dry in a day !?!
