reverse crunching

some times when i put my car into reverse the gears crunch, wat is this a sign of?

Nothing yet, I always go into 1st then reverse and it cures the crunching. Something to do with having no synchro on reverse on my gearbox, yours may be the same.

does it only do it wen you engage reverse when your still rolling forward? because i know that mine crunches then and im pretty sure that thats normal

na it crunches in most situation
mainly when the car has just been started though

mine does that sometimes... but the solution for me is to remember to just push the clutch that little bit further to the floor and its all good then!

I find mine does this sometimes, best to stop completly before engaging reverse.

Select third then reverse I have never crunched my cheese gearbox following that rule.

There's not synchromesh on reverse... stop completely, then engage it.
