Reverse light switch?..

How does it work? as i have to put this connection into a project loom i am building..
Im guessing that one of the 2 wires goes to power? and when the car is put in reverse the switch makes the connection and passes the power along?

Can anyone confirm that this is correct?

one wire to light, one to power, you are correct.

yea, iirc low down towards the passenger side. 2 pin plug, pull it off and bridge the wires with a paper clip, the lights should come on if its all ok and confirm the switch is duff

Look for a green plug beside the n/s driveshaft

A bit fiddly and you have to swap it quick or put your thumb on it as you get a bit of gear oil squirting out!
