When mine forst starts up, it goes to about 1200 to 1300 rpm, then after a minute drops to about 900, sounds like a idler problem

does the idle settle down or is it always moving up and down when the engine is idling?

It moves up n down most of the time, only jus recently happennin,

It happened in the past then it was fine and it when though phase of the idle not stay hig enough the engine cut out (in the cold)

does it start ok ie: you dont have to put your foot on the gas to start it first time .
i would say its just the cold weather and the engine is compensating nothing to worry about unless its cutting out or reving wildly
