Revs on startup

  Inferno 182 & Saxo
On my 182 got a little issue - when its cold and been sat for a while I come to start it and wait for fuel pump to prime, its starts up and the revs hunt a bit between 500rpm and 1000. This morning it idled for a second then it cut out as the revs dropped, which it hasnt done before as the revs usually rise back up to normal cold idle speed. A dab of throttle however makes it pick up and idle properly.
Could this be CTS or some other sensor? I have noticed its a bit juddery/hesitant when cold but once the temp comes up off the stop its fine.
I do have a small exhaust leak from the manifold to cat joint but I'm sorting this on the weekend with the genuine Renault kit and shouldnt have thought that would have any bearing on it?
If anyone has an RS tuner to come read the fault code in the west midlands i'll sub you some dosh!

Start simple... check the TB isn't fouled up with nasty thick, tar like breather oil.

If so, clean and refit... job should be a good'un. I'll come out anywhere nationally but it'll cost yer ;)

I had two that did the same thing.
I full service sorted it right out.
If you haven't serviced regular give that a try

Only service item i've not changed is the plugs and leads, had synpower in 500 miles ago gets changed every 3k

Still got this problem, cleaned the TB a bit but it wasnt that mucky. Worth me investing in an RS tuner to read any fault codes?

if youve not done plugs and leads then do them....
if there is still an issue then its coilpack or injector problem.

Wouldnt it be flat spotted to hell if it was plugs and leads? Its fine when its warm and drives/pulls fine
