if they run the 25 for 20 offer next year i will invest in one as it would suit. (€300)

but its not far off Jahreskarte money really.

With a Jahreskarte I always have another lap....If you can do 8.50 after 10 laps and crash on you 50th, then the driver who has done 50 laps but only timed a lap at 9.15 is the better driver. Gradual improvement is the key.Dave

Dave, I really cant see that before the jeremy piece on top gear there wasnt any timing, its human nature, its effectively race track, you judge your own performance by seeing if you can beat your own time, otherwise you wouldnt keep doing laps?

Like ive just said on msn david, times have become more of an issue for uk ringers since the TG programme.

Times were hardly mentioned at the meet in sept, yet come easter times are the subject of the trip. (Jon and i are guilty of this too, but we didnt time the filmed lap or any of the others we worked the time out from the footage but we are guilty of bigging it up, a mistake i wont make again.)

GT4 point is valid too. i think benr would struggle.

I dont care about times.. but then im sh*t, i just enjoyed driving it.. dont care about how fast i did it.. im not into that competative sh*te ;)

Sure there was timing.

But now even my mum knows a 10 min lap is waht JC can do!

In my mind timing has always been one of those things you did, but never spoke about......kinda like girls w**king ;)

Hi lads and lasses. Ive been offline for a while and just stumbled across this thread. The Ragnotti and Willy are both easily capable of circa 8:45 on regular tyres, and would naturally be a bit quicker with R compound tyres. I didnt experiment with tyres, tuning, or suspension settings on my Clios. The only modification was a set of DS 3000 brake pads.

I dont want to start an argument here on whos cars better Im interested in your own opinion since youve driven both cars round the ring.

Whats a better/faster car rond the ring. Id have imagined the 172 to be safer doing high speed laps but the Williams is raved about so much.
