Ring Trip 2007

A few of us go together for a mad weekend at the ring, 4 days, hundreds of miles and several laps later. Im home and had to clean my car lol

A few pics from the weekend, there was a liquid gold R26 with 2 drivers wearing full race suits, gloves helmets etc so I deliberately waited to go out behind them, ahh they promised to deliver so much, 5 corners later bye bye, OWNED lol, don't think they had a clue what they were doing tbh.

Was a relatively wet weekend some dry time where we did the majority of laps, saw 3 Civic type R's wrecked, I believe it was a Porsche GT3 that has gone to supercar heaven and there were several bikers down, knew by then it was time to stop doing laps and go to the pub!

Saw some peeps from here and the ClioTrophy forum. Oli was there giving it beans, as was another trophy (unsure who)

What can I say another awesome trip, fantastic place with some great friends.

We never tent, proper bed and duvet everytime mate!

I'd go more often, but only 2 of my mates are into cars and one of them doesn't have a car lol. So sounds gay going away with one mate all the while.

im still smiling at the thought of my laps... what an excellent trip with some great company too! :approve:

loved the trip for several reasons...

1. I learnt that my car IS in fact fast, and that it was just my head telling me it was slow.
2. I learnt to love the 182, which is clearly more superior than the old 172
3. I had a bloody awsome time with some great people... thanks guys! :approve:

My mate went last week with some more RSOC members,did you see any 3dr cossies(moonstone blue x2),Escort Cossie?

This was when there were 4 cars in the barriers, and the biker down at Adenau... carniage on track and im suprised they didnt close it. Was my last lap of the weekend.

It's classed as a public road IIRC so aslong as you're covered to drive abroad, You're sorted!

Majority of insurers stipulate with their european cover, not covered at the nurburgring lol

The few companies who do cover the Nurburgring charge around £300 for the temporary policy, and have anything up to an 8k excess...
