i want to buy a road angel for my car 172 cliosport(not cup) but ive been told it might not work something to do with the windscreen can any help ta

They are sensitive the heat reflective windscreen. It should work in the cut out at the bottem off the front screen, mine did but I found it would lose signal and take ages on start up to find satellites. Best of getting and additional antenna for it.

It has something to do with the UV screen mate, you can buy a GPS aerial for your Road Angel, and either place it on the back parcel shelve, or run it so it sits just under the side rear window. It will be able to pick up reception from those points.

My road angel didnt work unless i hung it out the window, so i ordered an antenna from halfords which cost 20 quid. when i recieved it i couldnt reach the back parcel shelf because the cable was too short. I took it to a recommended electical fitter, and he hard wired my road angel in and fed the antenna into the grill just below the wipers. I pick up signal everytime i start the car. I have no loose wires and it looks good.

Other route is get the 5M cable direct from Blackspot as the 3M one is to short.

speaking of road angels. I had a phone call earlier from a bird from Blackspot about my Road Angel. She said "do you know that your subscription ended in October last year? Are you going to re-new it?"

I said yeah I going to re-new it but have never got around to doing it.

She said "ok thanks, have you had any problems etc with it?" No.
"Ok thanks for your time."

Anyone else had a phone call?

i havnt but got 3 years subscriptions so probably wont. You renewing soon then jay?
there are new downloads every few days ive found.

I got mine sitting on top of the speedo takes a while to pick up but then fine, only prob that it bit bright at night driving

you can turn brightness level down.
(well i think you can im sure i remember seeing that setting in menu, maybe wrong though

I know you can alter the contrast of the black on the screen never noticed one for the brightness though.
