Road driving with fixed wing bucket seats?

I am after some fixed buckets next, like these Corbeau Revenge seats.

The car is primarily a weekend/track day toy, but I do still enjoy fast road driving and don't want to struggle at t-junctions etc..

Thoughts and opinions, cheers Fletch.

Mine have not got the big wings but with the harnesses it can be a bit tricky at some junctions. Also not great if you cant reverse without mirrors

Im forever taking the harness off at jucions car parks but its not a daily so its part of the fun lol

I'm pretty sure you'll struggle mate.... the harnesses have to be reasonably tight to be effective.

Had mine for about 12 months now and my car is my daily, never had any issues what so ever with view out of the car.

Run daily with seatbelt, and clip in harness for when needed.

I ran my Cup daily for the last two weeks as the Scenic was f***ed so the missus had Iggy. First time for over a year.

With harness fastening (an extra 30 secs max), and visibility (mirror use, lots of it), I've had no problems at all.

One thing to note Fletch is the depth of the side bolster, it makes a massive difference to entering/exiting ease.

I want deep, but currently have very shallow. Frustrating on track, but not too much effort on the commute.

This man speaks sense. Great seats.

Never had a problem at junctions but mine are regular buckets.

Reversing can be difficult, especially if your reversing down my drive which is an up then a down so the mirrors just show sky until you hit the house lol

  Ph1 track 172
I run buckets/harnesses (3" 4points) as a daily but once again they dont have massive wings,

harnesses dont bother me in the slightest, as i only find myself reversing when ive arrived at my destination so i just take them off,

ONE thing i find annoying is getting in and out of pay parking spaces since there isnt much room to get the door open, but as has been said, i depends on how deep your seats are!

I do like the Biamrco futuras. I ideally want something deeper like the Corbeau Revenge/revolutions though.

Not sure personally I would want much deeper than the Bimarcos (They are pretty deep actually) as they are a pain to get out of

I've driven a trophy with futuras fitted, and was impressed! If I had to use the 172 as a daily driver/ fairly often then I would go for something like these, or a set of Recaro SPGs.

Not much help but the revolutions look a lot nicer than the revenge ones imo.

I actually prefer the Revenge seats, but was impressed when I had a drive of Nick's cup with the revolutions fitted, the extra visibility is a real bonus :approve:

I don't have big wings but still seeing out of the left is a problem at certain junctions so I can see your predicament.

I really enjoy some of the B roads near me, and would hate to fit some seats that would ruin it for me.

Looking very likely that a set of Corbeau Revolutions will be ordered shortly
