So im looking at this auction thinking i might get a bargain because basically his auction listing title stinks. I then see hes selling another car and alarm bells start ringing. I then look at his history and see hes won loads of cars. He must be taking them with him to spain(yer right)

Then i see this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4532810475http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4532810475

The guy is failing to say it salvage. I no by law he probably doesnt have to but to me its like hes blatantly trying to deceive. Wish i could do something about to stop someone getting ripped off

This was my old car. Pxd in a honda dealer when it had 37,000 miles on clock. Had 19 visits to renault dealers accross the uk in 12 months, hence why i sold it. Since than it got written off from a side impact. He listed it already once this month

Still have a spare key :devilish:

U really dont wanna buy this car, it was bad enough before it got written off.

thats pretty funny 19 visits. Thats more then average. Hes put his number there for all to see too. i asked even before i started delfing into the history of the car if it had any accident damage and im yet to receive a reply.

I also ran it through the basic rac check and it says it changed hands on the 31st of december 2004. <Just to think for a minute i was seriuosly thinking about bidding on this

ant youve a missed a bit. The auction where its described as salvage is him buying it. The misleading auction is him selling it

i px it december 2003. I did have some pics which i requested from the last auction but i have deleted them. Had loads of work, power steering pipes, 2 clucthes, rebuilt gearbox twice, light level computer, new windscreen, leaks, exhaust vibration, engine mounts. suspion modifactions, mirrors stopped working, front bumber jets replaced, new xeon light, air bag lights, trip computer get resetting. It was the worst car i had ever owned.

He can, and he should - Ebay Help has guidelines if anyone so wishes to report it as falsifying the autenticity of a product, assuming it is exactly the same car?

not right, someone won it, and they resold it today (unless the bloke is using two names on ebay)

I sent the seller a email aswell. No response yet! suprise suprise. I would be gutted if someone did that to me. Mind u i would pay for a hpi if it was that cheap.

I would have reported it but to be honest i dont think hes doing nothing illegal. If asked he has to disclose the fact its cat d but he doesnt need to volunteer the info. Thats my understanding of the law learnt at that great school "the pub"

-To be honest i could have been duped by the ad but i never would have gone through with the sale. I would have had it checked.

Be careful about emailing highest bidders etc look up "auction interferance" in the help file.

in all honesty, he does say the car has a hpi report, he doesnt say what the ontent is though

in no way has he tried to decieve anyone by saying it hasnt been involved in an accident, he does however say the check was done to make sure the car was ok, again, doesnt state the outcome

he has not tried to decieve, therefore has not broken the law, selling a write off is not illegal, nor is it wrong, so long as you are honest "when asked" about the history of the car

he bought it in december i believe- i bet the hpi is from then

lawfully hes prob ok morally he sucks c*ck
