Rocker cover oil leak - easy diy fix?

I cant be arsed with renault, they will only scratch my plenum, and get shite in my engine.:evil:

What do i need to do the job?

im i thinkin the top part of the engine that holds the cams down, def get renault to do it

I was thinking that if I get it under warranty to get cambelt done too.

I gave all my screws an extra 1/4 turn, and it's not leaked one little bit since then.

1) Remove the inlet plenum

2) Tighten the screws underneath

3) Check the plugs while you're in there (one of mine had been spat out, and I had no idea).

You've got nothing to lose (apart from losing your tools/screws down in the engine bay somewhere) :S

dont force the bolts, see how easily they turn but dont force em or you'll have a big f**k off bill or will be looking for someone to drill n tap or stick threaded inserts in for you.

Good point there.

Mine were quite easy to move actually...

...so easy that I was worried the thread on them was knakkered: obviously not, however, I was concerned at the time.

Yep...good advice,

Threading aluminium threads is just such a nightmare:(
