Rocker Cover Painted

All cleaned, degreased and masked up....

13 Coats Later....

More pics after it drys later tonight, then down to Ktec tomorrow to get it all back together.

I haven't seen her for over 2 months...:dapprove:

Green.lol. It's red.

I havent got a very steady hand so it's all a bit blurred.

It didnt go pop, was just using loads of oil. Turned out to be piston ring.

It was dyno'd at 250bhp at rstuning a few weeks before hand.

me neither coloured the phlenum but need to do the rocker to finish it off!

Just got all the masking tape off. I am very pleased with the way it came out. Had an issue with the paint sticking to the masking tape and tearing on the holes.

how hard is it to take the rocker cover off?

Cover off is easy, the fact its the top bearing shells for the cams make it very hard. Forget it unless the engine is sams timing belt and you know how to retime the cams to the crank again.

its to hope youve done a good job on the oil cap because the can bubble if not painted well.

do you mean the plastic cap? I think I used the wrong paint anyway.lol.

I did it just for giggles, but the rocker cover better not bubble!:dapprove:
