Thinking of putting a Roll Cage in my MK2 phase 2 clio, 1.2 16V, any idea or websites that might specialise in these ????. also are bucket seats and sparco harnesses road legal ???? any advice please
try looking at the manurfaturers of cages i.e saftey devices may be a call to demond tweeks to see if a cage is made for ure clio ould be helpfull as maybe they can advie to which is the best 1 to go for
as far as seats speak to cobra as they do really cheap 2nds that there is nothing wrong with
but on a down side ure insurance will go up with a cage depending on who u are insured wih, u may not be able to have a cage as some insurers dont allow them,
so my advice is to ask ure insurance provider before u go ahead and fit a cage
why not get a safteydevices cage, they will spray it in any finish you want, including polished metal and a rear 1 costs 120 quid, but im guessing u want 1 that insurers wont mind ??? could always tell them its just a show 1, they wont know the diff...
Could get the Clio Cup rollcage but thats a full on jobbie which isnt too practical and is a weld in job..but then if your made enough to put one in a 1.2 then i guess you wouldnt care about that!
Safety devices are good because they can source a welder for you to get it motorsport approved.
nice one £120 quid you say ?? where can i get one of these from, ive already had the rear seats out, and got the buckets in already, seems to fly with less weight !! just dont look the part without the cage !!
