Roll Cage Supply & Fitting

  Range Rover Sport
After a little information if possible.

As I'm new to the clio world I'm unaware of specialists / companies.

Around Xmas I will be looking for a roll cage for the 172. After a bolt in cage as when selling the car its an option to remove. Also I'm looking into a 'safety device' version as they seem to have a good reputation in the 'evo world'. But open to OMP , Sparco etc.

Now, who can fit such an item? Even better who can supply and fit?

Based in Staffordshire so the closer the better really...

Are you after a full cage or just a rear section?

I've got a Safety Devices rear cage. Nice bit of kit. Cost about £400 basic. All you'd need is to get someone to weld in some floor plates and you can simply bolt it in and out as you please.

Mark fish is the CS guy to go for safety devices fitted, me personally if a knew someone remotely good with a welder I'd fit it myself, they're really not a hard cage to fit, they come with all the floor plates cut and shaped.

Either a full or rear not 100% committed to either style yet.

I did notice MF on the safety device website but was wondering if there were a closer place?

I'm miles from MF but just got it delivered to my house.

They pay your local welder £50 odd quid to weld in the floor plates. Then bolt it in yourself. Very easily done. The only hard bit is the welding.

Ah, didn't realise, sorry mate.

No worries, thank you. It would have been ideal if I was after a weld in cage.

But as the clio may only be a 12 month project until I get track experience I think a bolt in is the best option for me as it can be removed upon sale.

As above, whether its a bolt in cage or a weld in cage, its going to need welding anyway.
so even if you get a bolt in and then remove it, there will be plates welded in still.

clios are quite safe anyway so if its only for 12 months and you arent rallying it etc I'd just not bother with a cage personally.

Not really looked into great detail on the 'half' cages but it may be an option.
