Can I ask for recommendations for a rotary polisher? Another thread on here from a couple of years ago suggested the following:

You won’t want one of those mate. They’re a mini rotary polisher and are really only any use as an addition to a full size machine.

This pack includes the “pro” version of the polisher: is it any better than the standard “v2”? There’s quite a difference in cost.....

The Pro has a 1000w and the cheaper one only had a 650w

I’d definitely go with the Pro

It’s not a Rotary though it’s Dual Action. The DA will be more forgiving/less likely to cause any damage.

@AndyPembs182 DAS 6 pro, I bit the bullet this summer and got one should have done it years ago. Definitely get a small 3" backing plate as you'll need it for many of the smaller panels like wings. I spent ages deciding which pads and compounds to get but ended up with 5.5" hexlogics in white and blue, 3" scholl in orange and blue....I think!?

Thanks for the advice! I think I’ll go for the pack that I posted above. Watch this space for a very shiny 182.....

Yeah the Das 6 Pro is pretty good. Not a rotary but probably best to stick with DA if you're a beginner.
