Rough price for replacement 197 gearbox+fitting?

Hi guys ive been in the market for a nice clio for my hubby and today i saw a really nice clio 197 but on test drive i noticed one time the gearbox crunched going from 2nd to 3rd and ive read the horror stories about earlier 197 gearboxes so im wondering would anybody be able to give me a rough price for a new gear box and fitting? this is ofc out of warranty so Renault wouldn't contribute.

When I bought one earlier in the year it was £1400. Then about £4/500 to fit depending on hourly rate

RCS have them at £660 for the gearbox, then you are looking at about what Dan has said for fitting. You really should factor in the cost of a new clutch and slave cylinder too.

I have just sold my spare refurbished box for £450, I was told by the race team who refurbished it they would remove and refit a box for about £200 max.
I do have another box which they are going to refurb if you are interested let me know.
