RPM is low on cold start

On cold start the RPM is low, below 1000 about 800. I have to hit the gas piddle gently several times so the RPM jumps high and gradually drops when the engine gets hot.

I don't think this is normal? Is it?

On my Phase 1, mines about 900rpm cold start, and drops to a tadge over 500rpm when warm
Seems to work fine
(If the gauges are accurate that is)

Any good tips and precautions before starting the cleaning?

Disconnect the battery . Use a brake cleaner spray to clean. After cleaning ,on the first start the RPM me be higher but after some miles will be ok (750...850 RPM) .

Make sure you spray your load deep inside the tiny hole as this sometimes gets clogged with tissue and bacteria etc, oops... i mean oil and dirt and s**t.
