RR’s and airflow

Hi, this has been bugging me for a bit now so I thought Id throw it open to the masses. I know that cold air flow is important for an engine but what happens on a RR?? Im about to take mine on a RR day and cant see how the car can reach its maximum BHP without any cold air flow into the engine bay?? This must have effect on the overall stats? Please help...ta

Its ok for most stuff, but cars with filters like the Viper or BMC dont do as well on the rollers...

Quite cool when I had my 306 on the rollers watching the tubular manifold glowing bright red!!! :devilish:

Wonder if the Clio ones the same?!

im keepin BMC on i think fella for sat! even with a fan the engine bays gonna be hot! least its sucking air away from the engine!

So the colder the air feed the better the car can run ?

If you could keep a constant cold feed of air to the induction kit would this inporve the BHP ? or just the way the car runs.

Do a search, this is discussed every week! No viable power to be gained at the end of the day from lower air temps due to the percentage increase per degree!

Yer -30C should give you a noticible gain!

BenR will tell you all about it if you ask!

Not worth the money it would cost to do something like that!

Anyone remember the Nobles (Chesterfield) RR day when they put an air supply right onto the Mini Cooper-S intercooler? 182bhp as standard....!
