RS Sunvisors in a Non RS?

I know that the RS sunvisors have a light in them when u open the mirror flap.

If fitted to a Non-RsSwould the light still work? or does it need to be plugged in?

They are plugged in somewhere near the courtesy light, I bets its easy to hard wire up.
