Catcam 423’s do they work on a “standard” 172 block?

Question as per the title really,

Consensus seems to be that I’d run into valve clearance issues with standard pistons?

That said I can see some people have posted saying they were planning to fit them to non built engines..

Does anyone have first hand experience?

No experience, but my understanding is only the valve springs need replacing

Thanks for sharing that, had read about the valve springs, interesting that they call out ensuring there is sufficient space when on vvt.
Perhaps it is very tight.
